NEW SERVICE! Therapeutic Correspondence Service: “Dear Paula”

A written psychological guidance space for moments when you need clarity

Would you like to have a space where you can reflect on your difficulties without necessarily starting a full therapeutic process?

If you do not currently feel the need to begin therapy, but would sometimes appreciate the guidance of a qualified professional to help you gain clarity around a specific situation, my new written consultation service, “Dear Paula,” may be for you.

“Dear Paula” is a written psychological support space created to offer an alternative form of accompaniment during those moments in life when you need a different perspective on your difficulties: a voice that first listens without judgment, and then offers a professional reflection to help you organise your thoughts, better understand your situation, and make decisions that bring you closer to a more coherent, peaceful, and authentic way of living—always respecting and guaranteeing your privacy.

Written consultations are in no way intended to replace a therapeutic process, which in many cases is necessary and irreplaceable. However, they do open a valuable space for recognising that we do not always need to begin therapy in order to ask for help or access professional guidance.

This service aims to bring psychological support closer in a more accessible, flexible, and approachable way, creating a genuine space for reflection, guidance, and communication.

Who is this space for?

It is designed for those going through a specific situation who wish to:

  • better understand what they are feeling or experiencing
  • broaden their perspective on a difficulty
  • receive professional guidance before making an important decision
  • or simply feel supported during a moment of emotional confusion

Where did this idea come from?

Throughout my years as a therapist, I have observed a need that traditional therapy does not always fully address: people who may not require an in-depth therapeutic process, but who still need an accessible space to clarify their thoughts in the face of everyday emotional challenges.

Many of these experiences can feel overwhelming and generate significant distress, when in reality, with an external, professional, and objective perspective, they could be approached with greater clarity, coherence, and calm—sometimes even preventing unnecessary conflict.

In addition, among my personal journeys with reading and writing, I hold a very special memory of the years long before I imagined becoming a psychologist, when I would eagerly read personal advice columns in newspapers and magazines. I was fascinated by how the therapist responding to such deep and complex questions could transform painful situations into something understandable, manageable, and even hopeful.

I remember being amazed by the precision and sensitivity of those responses, and imagining the relief those words must have brought to the people receiving them. It was there—without me realising at the time—that the inspiration for this space was born.

Why written format?

Writing is far more than a means of communication; it is also a powerful tool for reflection and inner organisation.

Writing forces us to structure our thoughts, give them form, and transform diffuse emotions into something tangible and visible. In this process, multiple cognitive and emotional capacities are activated, which in themselves promote insight, self-awareness, and openness to new perspectives.

Often, the simple act of putting feelings into words already becomes the first step toward change.

In addition, this service allows me to share something deeply personal with you: my love for written communication.

In my experience as a teacher and group facilitator, many people have shared how much they valued my written feedback, describing it as clear, insightful, and helpful in understanding their experiences in new ways.

Writing is something I deeply enjoy and approach with care, dedication, and passion.

Learning to write was one of the most meaningful discoveries of my life. Not only because it opened the door to the world of stories I could read, but also because it allowed me to give voice to the stories within me that needed to be expressed.

My love for writing has always accompanied me, and I feel it has, in many ways, brought me here—to this space where I can now offer it in service of your wellbeing.

What makes this format unique?

Writing does not only communicate—it transforms.

Putting thoughts and emotions into words is, in itself, a therapeutic exercise that fosters reflection, mental clarity, and connection with our inner world. Very often, the simple act of writing already helps us understand ourselves more deeply.

Moreover, receiving a written response allows you to revisit it as often as you need, reread it, process it at your own pace, and integrate its reflections in your own time.

For this reason, therapeutic correspondence sits at a meaningful intersection between journaling and traditional psychotherapy.

By using this service, you will receive:

  • Attentive Listening: a space where you can express your concerns without judgment
  • Clarity and Reflection: support in organising your thoughts and making more coherent, peaceful decisions
  • Accessibility: access to professional psychological insight when you may not feel the need for full therapy, at an accessible price point
  • Confidentiality: complete privacy and professional discretion
  • Respect for your pace: written feedback that you can revisit as many times as needed, deepening your understanding with each reading

With the support of a qualified professional, ensuring:

  • professional expertise
  • emotional containment
  • personalised reflection
  • careful analysis of your consultation
  • therapeutic insight and elaboration
